The Foundation
Seven pillars. One message. A worldview that changed history.
01
The triune God of the bible. Creator of space, time, and matter. Sovereign over everything He made.
He established the moral law — a universal standard known as the Ten Commandments — and holds all of creation accountable to it.
According to the Christian worldview you were made in God's image. That means every person carries inherent dignity, value, and worth.
"You were created in God's image — with inherent value, worthy of dignity, respect and love."
The evil we see in the world? Christianity traces it directly to humanity's natural inclination toward rebellion. Everyone has broken God's law. The consequence is separation from God — and ultimately, His judgment.
But the story doesn't end in condemnation.
He sent a Saviour to bear the full weight of judgment in our place. Anyone who turns from destruction and puts their faith in Jesus as Saviour will no longer face condemnation.
02
"I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me."
— Jesus Christ, John 14:6One door. One way. Christianity doesn't offer a menu of options — Jesus is the exclusive path to God. Salvation cannot be purchased by good deeds. It is a free gift, received through repentance and faith alone.
Repentance isn't just remorse. It's a change of direction — being so genuinely grieved over your rebellion against your Creator that you abandon it and seek reconciliation. The free gift is available to everyone who turns from sin and places their faith in Jesus. It's not God's will that anyone should perish.
03
"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked — who can know it?"
— Jeremiah 17:9Sin is not a religious word for bad manners. It means to miss the mark — to fall short of the moral standard God established. The Bible is clear:
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
ROMANS 3:23
Sin is the single thing that separates humanity from God. It is the only reason we need redemption. The Apostle Paul catalogued what sinful conduct looks like — sexual immorality, idolatry, strife, jealousy, envy, drunkenness. His conclusion was stark:
"Anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God."
— Galatians 5:2104
One God. Three persons. This is not a contradiction.
Being is what you are. Person is who you are. A human is one being, one person. God is one being — three persons: Father, Son, and Spirit.
The three are equal in essence. They differ in role. They are the one God of scripture.
05
In John 10, the religious leaders confronted Him: "If you are the Messiah, just tell us plainly." Jesus said He and His Father are one. They immediately picked up stones. Not because He was offensive — because they understood exactly what He was claiming.
"We are not stoning You for a good work, but for blasphemy — because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God."
— The Religious Leaders, John 10:33Under arrest and facing death, Jesus was asked: "Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?" He answered: "I am." The high priest tore his robes and declared blasphemy.
Nobody was confused about what Jesus was claiming.
He claimed to be God.
06
"If Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins... we are of all people most to be pitied."
— 1 Corinthians 15:17–19Paul is not hedging. He is issuing a challenge — disprove the resurrection, and Christianity collapses. No other religion stakes its entire validity on a single, historically verifiable event. Christianity does.
07
66 books. 40 authors. Thousands of years of history. Two major collections — Old and New Testaments.
The New Testament contains eyewitness accounts of Jesus' life. Letters from His followers. Two letters written by His own brothers. Testimony from men who died rather than recant what they claimed to have witnessed.
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness."
— 2 Timothy 3:16–17"No prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God."
— 2 Peter 1:20–21One God. One standard. One Saviour. One decision.
