The
Gospel Story

Spoken by prophets across 2,000 years. Fulfilled in one life.

The Story

God's Redemption of a Broken People

God created man and placed him in paradise — perfect fellowship, free from sin and rebellion. Then sin entered through disobedience. Instead of immediate judgment, God made a promise: He would save.

Throughout centuries of recorded history, the prophets described a coming figure. How He'd arrive. Where He'd come from. What He'd come to do.

The entire Old Testament is the story of anticipation. The New Testament is the story of arrival.

The Bible is not a collection of moral stories.
It is a single story with one hero.

The Prophets Speak

The King is Coming

Old Testament Prophecies

Spoken centuries before they were fulfilled

Genesis 3:15 — 4000 BC
The Serpent Will Be Crushed
God tells the serpent a descendant of the woman will deliver a lethal blow to its head — but it will come at a cost. A prophecy of victory through suffering, spoken at the very beginning of human history.
Deuteronomy 18:15–19 — 1400 BC
A Prophet Like Moses
Moses tells Israel that God will raise a prophet from among them — one like Moses himself. Anyone who refuses to listen to his words will be held accountable to God personally.
Isaiah 9:6–7 — 730 BC
God Himself is Coming
"A child will be born to us... His name will be called Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace." The name "El Gibbor" — Mighty God — was used exclusively for God. Isaiah says God Himself will take on flesh and establish an eternal Kingdom.
Isaiah 53:1–6 — 700 BC
Despised. Rejected. Pierced for Our Sins.
Seven centuries before the crucifixion, Isaiah describes a suffering servant who bears God's judgment on behalf of all people. "He was pierced for our offenses, crushed for our wrongdoings. The punishment for our well-being was laid upon Him."
Psalm 16:10 — 1000 BC
God Will Not Let His Holy One Decay
King David writes that God will not abandon the Holy One in the grave, nor allow His body to undergo decay — which begins within 72 hours. This prophecy demands a resurrection within three days.
Daniel 7:13–14 — 540 BC
An Everlasting Kingdom
Daniel sees "one like a son of man" ascending to the Ancient of Days and receiving dominion, honour, and a kingdom over all peoples and nations — a kingdom that will not be destroyed.

Swipe through the fulfilled prophecies

Isaiah 7:14
700 BC — Virgin Birth
"The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and she will name Him Immanuel."

Matthew 1:18 records that Mary became pregnant before she and Joseph had been together — through the power of the Holy Spirit. Immanuel means God with us.

Micah 5:2
700 BC — Born in Bethlehem
"Out of you will come forth for Me One to be ruler over Israel — One whose origins are of old, from the days of eternity."

Micah specified Bethlehem Ephrathah — the exact agricultural zone outside Bethlehem where the temple lambs were kept. Jesus was born there. Luke 2:1–8.

Zechariah 9:9
520 BC — Entered Jerusalem on a Donkey
"Look, your king is coming to you — righteous and victorious, yet humble, riding on a donkey."

Jesus deliberately arranged for His disciples to fetch a specific donkey so this prophecy would be fulfilled. He rode into Jerusalem on it. Mark 11:1–7.

Psalm 41:9
1000 BC — Betrayed by a Friend
"Even my close friend in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, has lifted up his heel against me."

Judas — who dipped bread with Jesus at the Last Supper — betrayed Him for exactly 30 pieces of silver. The specific detail of the shared bread was written 1,000 years earlier.

Psalm 22:16–18
1000 BC — Pierced Hands & Feet
"They pierced my hands and my feet... they divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing."

Written centuries before crucifixion was invented. Jesus was crucified — nails through wrists and feet. After His death, soldiers gambled for His clothes. Matthew 27:35.

Psalm 34:20
1000 BC — No Broken Bones
"He keeps all his bones — not one of them is broken."

Soldiers broke the legs of those crucified with Jesus to hasten death. When they came to Jesus, He was already dead. They did not break His bones. John 19:31–33.

Isaiah 53:9
700 BC — Buried by a Rich Man
"His grave was assigned with wicked men, yet He was with a rich man in His death."

They planned to bury Jesus with criminals. Instead, Joseph of Arimathea — a wealthy member of the Council — personally requested the body and placed Jesus in his own tomb. Matthew 27:57–60.

Psalm 16:10
1000 BC — Resurrected
"You will not abandon my soul to Sheol; You will not allow Your Holy One to undergo decay."

Jesus was raised on the third day — before decay could begin. Over 500 people claimed to have seen Him alive afterward. 1 Corinthians 15:6.

The Message

A Message from the King

The Gospel is not a self-improvement programme. It is a verdict — and an offer of pardon.

We are by nature enemies of God. We have broken His law. We will stand before Him. The penalty is death and eternal separation — where there is no love, no light, no hope.

The good news is that Jesus has paid the penalty. Because He paid it, the Judge can dismiss your case, forgive you, and grant salvation. Jesus gives you His righteousness in exchange for your sin and rebellion.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life."

— John 3:16
He calls you to a life of self-denial — to love God with everything, and to love one another.

"For this reason the Father loves Me — because I lay down My life so that I may take it again. No one has taken it from Me."

— John 10:17–18
